It's the day of the changing from Winter to Spring (March 20th). No one is sure if the Winter Monarch is in attendance, because no one actually knows what they look like.

The Queen of Spring is Marissa Duprix, a Fairest Muse, and she is the incoming monarch. The event is taking place at the Equinox Spa, in the ballroom. It's all decorated for spring, and there's lots of food, alcohol fountains, and punch with melting sherbet in it.

Solomon brought his sugar mama. Rowan brought a soot sprite kitten in their lab coat pocket. Seph brought Dmitri. The rest of the group was smart enough to not bring dates.

Ava meets Brutus, who is a big Ogre with horns. He recruits her for Summer Court really easily. (Like so easily.) Meridian spikes the alcohol fountains nearest to the Summer Court tables with vodka. So they'll pass out faster. His plan may be flawed. Then he starts serving drinks to other Courts and being "gracious." Jacob hides under the buffet table and grabs food occasionally, despite getting his hand swatted periodically. Rowan talks to the other Ogres and asks them how their various pets are doing. Seph and Dmitri keep remembering groceries they need to buy.

Meridian, Seph, and Rowan notice some faces that we don't recognize from having been at the Freehold before. Two look like Changelings, two do not. The two who don't resemble Dmitri, and are eyeballing Seph and Dmitri from the edges of the room. Seph points them out to Dmitri, he flinches and drags Seph away from where they are. He says he needs to go, and that they're bad people. "They're the Jesus freaks of the werewolves. The violent kind. On a cleanup mission of Seattle."

Rowan talks to the people who were looking for Dmitri. One introduces himself as Stuart Grayson. They tell Rowan that they were looking for Dmitri, as he's fleeing out the door. Then they ask what's going on, and Rowan tells them that it's a party for patrons of the day spa. Rowan tries to introduce Mr. Wigglesbutt to them, but he hisses at them horribly. Meridian steps in to talk to them, and ultimately persuades them to leave nicely and not pursue Dmitri.

Rowan notices the other people creeping up behind the Queen, and texts Solomon to go introduce his sugar mama (Candy) to the Queen. Someone attempts to assassinate the Queen, but fails to hurt her much. Her bodyguards attack him. The other guy pulls a gun. Solomon gives the guy with the gun bad luck. Rowan tries to make him afraid, but it fails. Ava throws a champagne glass at him, and it hits him. Mi-Ok charges him and knocks him down, and his gun goes off. Jacob stops the Queen from bleeding. Meridian comes back just in time to see that everything is handled. Seph wants to go back, but Dmitri doesn't. Then there are five people coming at them, and he changes his mind, so they come back.

Meridian steps outside to confront Stuart and his four buddies. "Lets think this through together, shall we?  There are roughly 200 people inside, a quarter of them have firearms, at least half have eccentric medieval weapons of some sort.  So, how do you think you can best serve your god?  Up to you of course, but 'while still alive' seems the better choice." Stuart and and his buddies leave after Meridian convinces them it's a bad idea to go in. Meridian asks Dmitri what is going on. Dmitri says they are racist religious werewolves, and he's not the same race as them. He also says he's not their only target.

Dmitri: "This isn't some kind of weird sympathetic magic, is it?"

Meridian: "I don't even know what that is. It's for art, dear."

Rowan puts Mr. Wigglesbutt near the two attackers (one Darkling Tunnelgrub, one Beast Skitterskulk [insect]), and he swats at the Beast. Solomon makes the Beast tell him the truth. The Beast claims it was for the glory of His Majesty, their Dark King, Lord of the Dead, Keeper of Souls, the Scourge of the Underworld. Seph and Rowan are pretty sure it was their old Keeper. Rowan force feeds them pomegranate seeds. They also think Seph looks kinda like the Dark King's queen, only not.

Mi-Ok suggests the Turncoats Pledge for these two, which will banish them from the area. They accept. Brutus is able to do the pledge.

The Queen talks to Seph and Rowan about their former Keeper. She thinks it might be part of a larger plan, and asks if Seph and Rowan will investigate. Assigns the rest of the PCs as their escort. Dmitri asks if that includes him, and we ask him if he wants to go to hell with us.

Seph and Dmitri leave to go shopping. Everyone else eats ice cream, and the party continues on.
